Since my last posting of this inspirational, I'm meeting some fabulous pastors who truly care and want to pray with the people who come in. One conversation in particular with the most prestigious and yet down to earth Psychologist/Pastor really struck me. He mentioned the most interesting dilemma. He mentioned that people were personally and lovingly invited up and yet so many times, no one comes!!!! "WOW," I thought. Then I recalled what my favorite Pastor in Brooklyn did one time when no one would come up to pray. In that moment, Pastor Alex turned around and knelt there himself and said over the microphone, "Folks, I'll be the first to say I need more of God in my life." It was awesome and of course, we all followed in his footsteps!PRAYER OF RESPONSE:
Father God, I pray, Let us be the first to kneel before you and cry out, "Lord, we need you!" Also, Lord, even if there is nothing in particular to pray for, let us learn to simply sit before you in quiet meditation, thanking you and seeking your will. I long to seek You, Lord even if I don't need a thing.
