Be Still...not an easy thing for a person who likes to do and get things done.
Hey! No child wants to be told to sit down for a while or for even a minute sometimes. Then again, we are not children.
We have more stresses and more labor and NEED our rest. Yes, there's a reason for the Sabbath or even an occassional additional day of rest.
For me, it makes me FEEL LIKE MORE of a mench! (a decent human being)
Sometimes I think I need to be my own teacher and put myself in the corner! LOL!" SIT DOWN MICHELLE!" I'd say. You know when I was a teenager there was this one night when I worked so hard studying, my Mom yelled at me in love, commanding that I Sit down in my bed and turn the TV on! Funny- all parents should have that "problem" right.
Im writing this blog today though because I want us all to be careful and mindful of the bodies and lives that the Lord has given us.
Wouldnt it be great to have serious boundries about the days and times that we work hard & others where we close up shop? A balance is a hard thing to find but worth fighting for. We are going to have real trouble winning the prize in the Lord if we keep pushing and pushing and never sit down. We will fall into temptation if we weaken ourselves in that manner. Let's "not* and say we did! " Funny but true saying in this case re overdoing it. (meant NOT push and push and push w no rest)
Today, what words do you feel inspired to assign to an acronym of S.T.I.L.L? I've come up with this one which aint so bad:
SILENCING
TENSION &
IRRITABILITY & Embracing
LOVE & LIFE from the Father
LESS
I say less because often, less is more. Sometimes more is not so bad. But most of the time, the feeling of wanting more can lead to materialism. this leads to disatifcation and a false sense of fulfullment that does not come from the father above. It makes us want (to do) more- an impulse to spend more time on the house or the car instead of with God and with family, allowing Him to restore our energy & power) Theres a time to work on the house and car, but for you workaholoics out there like me- maybe today aint it. LOL again! Keepin it real!!!!
I pray you R inspired today to allow God to quiet your soul. Please pray this prayer below with me. May we be empowered to be still at set times
so that we may be renewed & March on in this race to win the heavenly prize in Messiah Yeshua!
"Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalm 46:10

Avinu Malchenu, help me to want less instead of more today when it comes to things and doing things. I only need more of you. Quiet my soul and silence all irritability or anxiouty. Fill me with your love, contentment and your life giving restorative power. Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit}), fill me today. Amen.
